Magruder Construction Company has been in the business of performing heavy highway construction projects of all scopes and magnitudes for 50 years. Our skilled people and extensive inventory of owned equipment allows us to self-perform all aspects of grading, pile driving, concrete construction, pipe installation, rock placement, mechanical dredging and hydraulic dredging. In addition, our project management team includes surveyors, engineers, quality control managers and superintendents. We rely very little on subcontractors but if the need arises, we have numerous partners in the industry to perform the construction of specialty items.

Bridge Projects. Magruder Construction Company has been involved with the construction of bridges for over 50 years. We have constructed everything from Interstate highway bridges to minor stream crossings. Our experienced bridge employees self-perform all phases of the bridge project from pile driving to final finishes.

Levees/Flood Protection. Magruder Construction Company has over 30 years of experience in the construction of levees and flood control structures. Our scope of experience includes road closure structures, railroad closure structures, pump stations, levee construction, levee repairs and most importantly the experience and know how to work under emergency conditions.

Environmental Rehabilitation. Magruder Construction Company has been actively involved with Corps of Engineers Environmental Management Projects (EMP) since 1999. These projects are specifically habitat restoration projects on the Middle and Upper Mississippi River and typically include levees, water control structures, pumps and other improvements for the benefit of fish and wildlife.

Grading. Magruder Construction Company got its start over 50 years ago doing earthwork and grading. Since then, we have completed numerous road projects, levees, site development and dams. Some projects in excess of several million cubic yards.
